Medea Benjamin will speak about her new book Drone Warfare: Killing by Remote Control, a comprehensive look at how drones are being used to assassinate people around the world and how to build a movement to rein in the drones. Medea will also speak about how drones are coming to local police departments, and what that means to our privacy rights.

Drone Warfare explores the growing menace of drone warfare, with an extensive analysis of who is producing the drones, where they are being used, who are “piloting” these unmanned planes, who are the victims and what are the legal and moral implications.

Medea is a co-founder of both CODEPINK and the international human rights organization Global Exchange. She has been an advocate for social justice for more than 30 years. A former economist and nutritionist with the United Nations and World Health Organization, Benjamin is the author/editor of eight books.
